Q. Do I need a prescription?
A. Yes. A doctor needs to write a prescription requesting physical therapy.


Q. How long is my prescription good for?
A. 30 days from the date the doctor issued the prescription, which means you need to begin therapy within 30 days from the date of issue.


Q. What are your hours of operation?
A. Our facilities are open Monday thru Friday. For specific operating hours please call the facility at which you wish to schedule an appointment.


Q. What insurances does Dwight Orthopedic Rehabilitation accept?
A. We accept most insurances, including Blue Cross and Medicare.

Q. Once my insurance pays how much will I owe for each visit?
A. That depends on the deductible and copays of your insurance policy. We will call your insurance company and inform you of your benefits when you come in for your first appointment.


Q. I was injured on the job. Do you accept Worker's Comp insurance?
A. Yes. Once we receive authorization for physical therapy from your employer we can schedule an appointment for you.


Q. How long will it take to get an appointment?
A. In most cases we can see you immediately.


Q. What do I need to bring on my first appointment?
A. Your prescription from your doctor, your insurance card(s), and driver's license.


Q. What should I wear?
A. For physical therapy it's preferable that you bring, or wear, shorts or pants (i.e. sweatpants) with an elastic waist, a loose shirt (such as a t-shirt or sweatshirt) and tennis shoes. For pool therapy you will need a bathing suit.


Q. How long will my therapy last?
A. That depends on your injury, how many visits your doctor has prescribed and the progress you make during your therapy.


Q. How long does each session last?
A. That depends on your injury and what kinds of treatment your doctor has prescribed. Most sessions average 1 hour.
